Dual-Channel Retro Elegance

The Retro Tube 50 Combo is built with two channels - Clean, and Lead. Channel One delivers rich and sparkling clean tones or that harmonically rich vintage Classic Rock crunch. Channel Two is perfect for achieving a warm, retro overdrive that cuts through any mix effortlessly, alongside the potential for brutal high gain roar. With two dynamic channels that each feature their own separate controls for Gain and Volume, two 3-band EQs, Gain Boost switches for each channel, as well as a Bright switch for the clean channel, and a Tone switch for the lead one, the Retro Tube 50 provides you with immense flexibility. The preamp section utilises four ECC83 tubes for true vintage tone, plus a built-in FX loop that is serial-to-parallel adjustable. 50 watts of class A power are provided by the two EL34 power tubes, which gives life to the Heritage G12-65 Celestion speaker housed inside the enclosure.

Built-In Reverb & Noise Gate

With an already extensive feature list with regards to the Retro Tube's dual-channel design, this mighty combo also features a built-in analogue reverb, with separate intensity controls for each channel. Turning the knob clockwise will increase the effect's intensity, whilst setting the position to "0" will result in no reverb from the amplifier in your signal. The reverb can also be activated and de-activated using an optional footswitch plugged into the S.A.C Port, or a footswitch plugged into the FX Loop Reverb jack, which can both be found on the rear of the amplifier.

The Retro Tube 50 is also equipped with a Noise Gate that features adjustable threshold settings. This gate uses a single control, and is engaged when using Channel 2 with the Gain Boost activated. The Noise Gate is engaged once you turn the control clockwise to approximately the "3" position. Between 3 and 10, the noise gate does an excellent job of suppressing excess noise generated in Channel 2. The closer to 10 that you set the control knob, the higher the noise level will be at which the gate triggers, with the gate being able to respond to extremely high noise levels at 10 (very small margin between guitar signal and unwanted background noise). Turning the control knob to the far left, or "0" position, will deactivate the gate completely.
