Combined with the large 14.3 mm bore and open wrap design, the result is a bass trombone that projects confidently without sounding overly aggressive. Greater airflow with improved response

Yamaha redesigned the rotary valve port shape to increase the valve tube volume, helping air move through the instrument more efficiently. The result is a broader, more powerful sound with a smoother response under heavier playing demands. The mouthpiece receiver has also been adjusted so the mouthpiece sits slightly shallower, allowing it to resonate more freely.
