The KSM44MP offers three selectable polar patterns: cardioid, omnidirectional and bidirectional. This flexibility allows engineers to adapt the microphone to a wide range of recording techniques, including close-miked vocals, room capture, stereo configurations and ensemble recording, all while maintaining consistent tonal quality.
