The KSM40C is built around a Shure-designed one inch condenser capsule that delivers natural, detailed audio with controlled low-end and smooth high-frequency response. A proprietary backplate design manages diaphragm behaviour to eliminate sharp resonances, ensuring clarity without brightness or harshness.
A uniform cardioid polar pattern focuses on the sound source while minimising room reflections and bleed from surrounding instruments. This makes microphone placement fast and reliable in multi-mic sessions, untreated spaces or live recording environments.
With extremely low self-noise, the KSM40C supports clean signal capture with ample headroom. Quiet passages can be recorded confidently, allowing gain and compression to be applied without unwanted hiss or noise build-up.
