This version of the 4099 CORE+ is fitted with an Extreme SPL capsule designed to handle the loudest drum environments. With a peak SPL of 145 dB and distortion below 0.5% up to 138 dB, it keeps the sound clean and defined even during high-impact playing. From rimshots to fast fills, every detail is captured without saturation or harshness.
CORE+ circuitry keeps your tone transparent across the full dynamic range. You can play freely without holding back, knowing the mic will maintain the integrity of your sound. This makes it an ideal tool for live kits, percussion rigs and close-mic setups in the studio.
Reliable rim mounting with fast setup
The included D-Clip attaches quickly to standard drum rims and holds firm through vibrations and physical movement. It’s designed to sit close to the shell while staying clear of your sticks and hardware. The gooseneck section is 140 mm long, giving enough range for precise placement without creating extra bulk.
Using the G-Mount locking mechanism, you can reposition the mic easily and then lock it into place with a simple lever. The dual-material base adds vibration control, helping isolate the mic from mechanical noise. This results in a cleaner, more focused signal straight to your mixer or interface.
Focuses on your drum, not the noise around it
The microphone uses a supercardioid pattern to narrow its focus and reject background sound from the sides and rear. This helps keep the drum tone isolated, especially in busy stage environments where bleed from cymbals and other instruments is common.
