A tactile keyboard that invites new techniques
Terra Organic’s keyboard is built around twelve semi-spheric metal sensors, each sensitive to velocity and pressure. This design gives you direct physical control over parameters that are often hidden or automated on traditional synths.
You can create slow evolving attacks, sharp plucks, or smooth vibrato using nothing more than finger pressure and movement. The layout encourages playing techniques that differ from standard keyboards, which can lead to fresh musical ideas. Over time, the instrument responds more like a physical object than a programmed device, rewarding subtle gestures and careful control.
Microtonal control without complexity
Four dedicated pitch shifting sensors allow the keyboard to access sixteen transposition states, extending the total range to 120 semitones. Each note and pitch shift position can be tuned individually, down to extremely fine steps. This makes it possible to design custom microtonal scales, alternative tuning systems, and expressive pitch layouts that can be saved to memory.
Transposing the entire keyboard by octaves or semitones is immediate, supporting fast changes during performance. Despite the depth on offer, the system stays intuitive and avoids interrupting the flow of playing.
Focused synthesis designed for performance
Terra Organic contains 32 digital synthesis algorithms, each created as a complete instrument rather than a blank sound engine. These algorithms combine elements of FM, additive, subtractive synthesis, and physical modelling, all processed at high resolution.
Instead of long parameter lists, each algorithm uses fixed control mappings across the sensors, knobs, and central LED triangle. This approach removes the need for detailed programming and keeps attention on sound shaping in real time. The result is a performance-focused experience that encourages learning each algorithm through playing.
An immersive instrument for stage and studio
A built-in effects processor with echo and reverb prepares Terra Organic’s stereo output for immediate use, making it suitable as a self-contained performance instrument. While sound generation is digital, the signal passes through a high quality analogue output stage built with discrete components and class A operation. This contributes to a warm, detailed sound that works confidently in a mix.
