Three voltage-controlled oscillators sit at the heart of the D MINI, giving you a wide palette of analog sounds to explore. You can run the oscillators in unison for thicker tones, use paraphonic operation for layered note combinations, tune them in fifths and octaves, or introduce ring modulation for more complex timbres. Six selectable waveform types, including triangle, sawtooth, square, and pulse variations, provide plenty of starting points for sound design. The dedicated detune control helps create broader, fuller sounds by offsetting oscillator tuning, making it easy to build everything from solid basses to evolving lead lines.

Shape sounds with classic controls

The D MINI combines traditional analog synthesis tools with a straightforward layout that encourages experimentation. A 24 dB-per-octave filter allows precise tone shaping, while resonance control can push sounds into self-oscillation for more distinctive results. Envelope controls for attack, decay, release, and sustain give you detailed control over how notes respond and develop. Additional filter contour settings let you introduce dynamic movement to patches, helping sounds feel more expressive and responsive. Combined with selectable white or pink noise, the synthesis engine offers plenty of scope for creating unique textures.

Build evolving sequences easily

The integrated sequencer provides ten memory locations, each supporting up to 16 steps. You can record patterns in a traditional step-based workflow or switch to freestyle mode for unquantised, real-time input. Motion sequencing allows parameter changes to be recorded alongside notes, creating evolving patterns that change over time without constant manual adjustment. Variable tempo options, metronome support, active step editing, and multiple playback scales provide flexible control over rhythmic ideas. This makes the D MINI useful for creating repeating patterns, melodic sequences, and experimental performances.

Connect to modern and vintage setups

Despite its compact format, the D MINI offers a range of connectivity options.
