This Hound Dog Deluxe Resonator yields bright and tight tonal characteristics in abundance, and this is thanks in no small part to the flame maple body. Using maple as a tonewood delivers excellent levels of sustain, holding a strong upper midrange with a nice amount of bite, as well as bringing some stunning aesthetics to the party. Also featuring a Dobro single cone resonator, the 3.5” body holds a huge number of sonic possibilities. The resonator is topped with a nickel plated fan cover, which contrasts well with the Vintage Brown finish, providing a classically vintage guitar with all the perks of modern technology – sonically and visually.
Equipped with a Fishman Resonator pickup that can be used to enhance the resonator’s natural projection, this guitar is perfect for performing musicians of multiple styles and genres. The Dobro Hound Dog Deluxe is equipped with reliable hardware including premium Grover machine heads, a spider bridge and a nickel-plated tailpiece. Grover Tuners provide precise intonation and work with the classic spider bridge – which features an ebony saddle upon maple base – to keep the guitar in tune for longer and project a full tone.
