Epiphone Allen Woody Rumblekat Bass, Wine Red

Details
The Epiphone Allen Woody Rumblekat Bass, Wine Red is a signature guitar that was designed and wielded by the late, great Allen Woody before his death in 1999. The body is made from chambered mahogany, which delivers a warm, full-rounded tone with plenty of resonance and sustain. The set-in neck is also made from mahogany for enhanced warmth and richness, and it is paired with a rosewood fingerboard that brings beautiful articulation. The Allen Woody Rumblekat is loaded with a pair of NYT Mini Humbuckers that produce bright and focused tonality that purrs and growls in true Woody style. The controls on-board the Allen Woody Rumblekat include a Volume knob for each pickup and a Master Tone, which are all finished in gold and sat on a labelled tortoiseshell style plate. The Epiphone Signature Allen Woody has a rich, Wine Red finish and a powerful rock sound that carries Allen's legacy.

Equipped With a Pair of NYT Bass Mini Humbuckers

The Epiphone Allen Woody Bass is powered by a pair of NYT Mini Humbucker Bass pickups that are located at the middle and neck positions. The pickups are able to achieve bright and clear tones with excellent focus; to create a classically vintage performance. The controls on-board the Allen Woody Rumblekat include a Volume knob for each pickup and a Master Tone. The controls are finished in classy gold, and they are sat on a labelled tortoise-shell style plate to add to the retro appearance.

Chambered Mahogany Body Topped With Maple

The chambered mahogany body gives the Allen Woody Signature Bass a warm and resonant tone with great sustain, as well as plenty of depth. Mahogany delivers good levels of grind and bite, which works exceptionally well with heavier styles of music such as rock. The mahogany body also provides durability, and a tone that will mature over the years for a long lasting investment. The mahogany is topped with a maple top, which extends the mahogany's tonal range with enhanced brightness and sustain as well as offering stunning aesthetics.

Mahogany Neck & Rosewood Fingerboard

The Les Paul Standard Plustop PRO's neck is made from beautiful mahogany which is sturdy and provides good durability. The mahogany gives the guitar a richer focus, with warm and full undertones; and it is coupled with an equally as warm rosewood fingerboard, ideal for creating articulate tones that are soft yet punchy.

About Allen Woody

Allen Woody is recognised as a legandary rock bassist who has left a lasting legacy that is present within the design and sound of the Signature Rumblekat bass. Woody himself worked at Gibson Customer Services back in his younger days, and during his time there he joined American rock band The Allman Brothers in 1989. As a keen collector, Allen Woody took inspiration from other new Epiphones in order to design his very own signature Rumblekat bass.
