The Epiphone 1959 Les Paul Standard Reissue delivers an authentic vintage playing experience, crafted with the same tonewood formula as its legendary namesake. It features a solid mahogany body for warmth and resonance, paired with a carved maple cap and a striking AAA flamed maple veneer for that classic Les Paul look. The top and fretboard are finished with single-ply cream binding, further enhancing the vintage aesthetic. The body is finished in Washed Bourbon Burst using a new Vintage Gloss process that subtly captures the visual charm of aged instruments without artificial wear. From the curved top to the historically accurate pickguard, this guitar looks every bit the part of a ’59 classic.
A major highlight of this reissue is the one-piece mahogany neck, shaped to match the 1959 Rounded Medium C profile—a profile favoured by many for its comfortable, slightly beefier feel compared to later SlimTaper styles. Combined with a long neck tenon joint for enhanced sustain and structural stability, the neck delivers vintage accuracy with modern reliability. The bound rosewood fretboard features medium jumbo frets and mother-of-pearl trapezoid inlays, while even the side dots are sized and positioned to replicate 1959 specifications. This neck feels substantial yet inviting in the hand, making it ideal for expressive bends, fast fretting, or laid-back rhythm work.
This model stands out in its class thanks to its high-end electronic components, featuring two USA-made Gibson Custombucker pickups with Alnico 3 magnets. These humbuckers are revered for their warm, articulate tone that captures the spirit of late-’50s Les Pauls. Hand-wired with CTS potentiometers and vintage-style Bumblebee paper-in-oil capacitors, the control layout delivers responsive tone shaping with a broad sonic range. You’ll also find Switchcraft hardware in the pickup selector and output jack, ensuring robust, gig-ready reliability. From glassy cleans to creamy overdrive, the tone is everything you'd expect from a guitar inspired by one of the most celebrated models in history.
Attention to detail sets this reissue apart. The Epiphone Deluxe tuners with Single Ring Keystone buttons are inspired by vintage originals, offering both aesthetic authenticity and solid tuning performance. The bridge is a period-correct ABR-1 Tune-O-Matic, paired with a Gibson Historic Reissue aluminium stop bar tailpiece for maximum resonance and sustain. Cream-coloured mounting rings, control knobs with nickel-plated dial pointers, and a 2-ply black bell truss rod cover add to the vintage look. To complete the experience, the guitar comes with a brown hardshell case lined in pink plush and branded with Inspired by Gibson Custom graphics—making this a vintage beauty that's perfect if you're looking classic style and tone.
