Toms and the snare use a 5mm shell made from four maple plies with two Lacebark Pine outer plies, while the bass drum features a thicker 7mm construction for deeper low-end presence. This combination gives the kit a responsive feel under the stick while maintaining solid punch from the kick. The thinner shell design also encourages the drums to resonate more freely, giving each note a clear attack followed by smooth sustain.

Tama’s Star-Mount system holds each tom securely while minimising contact with the shell.
