The Momentum maple shells are designed to give you a reliable, all-round sound without forcing a specific character. With a medium shell construction and 9-ply layup, you get a blend of warmth, clarity, and controlled low end that works for rock, pop, funk, and more. The 45° bearing edges help each drum speak clearly, even at lower tunings, which is useful if you move between venues or recording sessions. It’s a sound that sits comfortably in a mix and responds well to different heads and tuning approaches.

Hardware designed to let the shells breathe

Sonor’s T.A.R. Total Acoustic Resonance mounting system reduces contact with the shell, allowing the toms and floor tom to vibrate more freely. In practice, this means better sustain and a more natural decay, especially noticeable on the rack toms and floor tom. The system uses three sound sustainers and stable floor tom legs, keeping everything solid while playing. Combined with 2.3 mm power hoops, the kit stays controlled and focused, even under heavier playing.
