The 0.8mm steel shell gives this compact snare a bright, cutting tone with powerful projection and enhanced sustain. Its 10” x 5.5” dimensions produce a high-pitched crack that can stand apart from your main snare and cut through the rest of your kit. This makes it a useful additional voice for sharp accents, breakbeat grooves, and timbale-inspired rhythms. If you play pop, funk, gospel, or Latin styles, its compact dimensions and distinctive steel-shell character give you another sound to bring into grooves and fills without replacing your main snare.

Sensitive enough for subtle details

A thinner 0.8mm shell helps increase sensitivity, allowing the snare to respond clearly when you bring ghost notes and more subtle grooves into your playing. Hand-selected 20-strand steel snare wires further balance articulation, sensitivity, and shell resonance, giving you control across different playing dynamics. Open and resonant response

The 1.5mm triple-flange steel hoops help produce a slightly more open and resonant sound than thicker hoops. Combined with the sustain and projection of the steel shell, they allow the snare to retain its bright character while giving each strike room to resonate. A coated batter head and clear resonant head complete the setup, while six low-mass lugs provide the shell hardware.
