The Ludwig Classic Maple 3pc Shell Pack features 7-ply Cross-Laminated North American Maple shells which are the preferred choice by many professionals for their exceptional tonal versatility. These shells offer high sensitivity, wide dynamic tuning ranges and a sharp attack making them perfect for any live performances.
The classic maple standard 7-ply, 6mm shells are formulated to provide optimum resonance and tonality. These shells have a rapid response, making them suitable for any playing style.
Each of the drum's bearing edges are cut to a 45-degree angle within 1/16'' from the outer edge. This sharp edge is hand-sanded to assure a smooth, even and flat surface to provide easy head placement.
The Ludwig USA shells are produced using Radio Frequency Shell Technology which increases stability through-out each drum. The RFST's unique bonding system is combined with a specialised, time-tested adhesive to cure each shell evenly over the entire surface of the shell.
