The YTS875EX is built around Yamaha's distinctive 875 body shape, giving you moderate resistance and a solid, controlled tone. Its wide dynamic range gives you plenty of room to shape individual phrases, while the integrated key posts add further resistance and help the instrument respond directly to your airflow. Two-point contact also contributes to a freer response and enhanced projection — useful when you need your sound to carry without sacrificing tonal control.

At the heart of the YTS875EX is Yamaha's Custom E1 neck, designed to give your sound added richness and fullness. The high-rigidity nickel silver neck receiver complements this with a condensed tone and responsive feel. It also lets you use compatible necks designed for Yamaha Custom Z and Custom EX saxophones, giving you scope to explore different playing characteristics. Lower down the instrument, a reinforcing plate on the bow helps provide easy control and a rich lower register.
