Shape a broader, more powerful sound

The 11.65 mm medium-large bore gives you plenty of scope to develop a broad, projecting trumpet sound. Its wider construction requires more air from the player, but rewards that input with extra tonal breadth and power. This makes the YTR-5335G well suited to players developing their technique and looking for greater dynamic flexibility. You can keep things controlled when blending into an orchestra or chamber group, then push the instrument harder when you need your part to carry through a larger ensemble. The medium-weight construction helps balance this powerful response with the versatility needed for all-round playing.

Bring warmth and colour to every note

A 123 mm two-piece gold-brass bell gives the YTR-5335G a warm tonal character with plenty of colour to explore. Its two-piece construction provides a free-blowing response, helping you move comfortably across different dynamics and musical styles. Gold brass contributes to the instrument's rich sound, while the bell provides useful resistance for maintaining control. Paired with the gold-lacquered finish, this gives you a trumpet geared towards warmth and tonal depth; useful when you want a rounded ensemble sound without giving up the projection available from the medium-large bore.

Play smoothly with responsive Monel valves

Smooth valve action helps keep your attention on phrasing, articulation, and tone rather than the mechanics of the instrument. The YTR-5335G uses three Monel valves, giving you a responsive setup for comfortable playing across rehearsals and performances. Its design also incorporates elements associated with Yamaha's professional instruments, including parts drawn from the YTR-6335 and custom models. For an intermediate player, that means a trumpet designed to support developing technique while providing the tonal flexibility needed for different ensembles. Whether you're working on subtle orchestral passages or more projecting big band parts, the responsive valve setup helps keep your playing fluid.

Get the essentials for playing and transport

The YTR-5335G includes a Yamaha 14B4 mouthpiece, giving you a suitable mouthpiece to pair with the trumpet straight away. A case is supplied too, helping protect the gold-lacquered instrument against everyday knocks and scrapes while you're travelling between lessons, rehearsals, and performances. Together, these included accessories make the trumpet easier to manage as part of a regular playing routine. You have the instrument, mouthpiece, and protective storage covered, leaving you free to concentrate on developing your sound and getting comfortable with the YTR-5335G.
