The YBL-822 features a gold brass bell designed to produce a warm, centred sound with plenty of depth and projection. Gold brass naturally introduces a slightly darker tonal character compared to standard yellow brass, helping the trombone sit comfortably within large orchestral settings while still maintaining clarity. Its 241 mm bell diameter supports a broad, resonant voice that responds well across dynamic ranges. Whether you’re performing sustained low passages or projecting through full ensemble sections, the instrument maintains a controlled, refined sound that works particularly well in symphonic repertoire.
