Key Features
The Yamaha VC7SG Intermediate Cello Outfit is designed for advancing cellists who want a refined instrument for lessons, orchestras, and graded performances. Built with carefully selected spruce and maple, it produces a warm, expressive tone with the projection needed for ensemble playing. An Aubert bridge helps maximise resonance, while the ebony fingerboard provides a smooth, durable playing surface that responds well to developing technique.
Premium ebony tuning pegs and a Wittner Ultra tailpiece with four fine tuners make accurate tuning straightforward, giving you greater confidence before and during practice. The cello comes fitted with D'Addario Helicore strings for fast bow response, clear articulation, and reliable pitch stability. Supplied with a Bulletwood bow, Schwarz rosin, and an original soft case, this complete outfit is ready to accompany you to lessons, rehearsals, and performances from day one.
Please note: Due to the nature of wooden instruments, the grain will vary from instrument to instrument so will not be as reflected in the pictures. In addition, to ensure that your cello is delivered safely, it will be shipped with the bridge down. Please see the PDF above on how to install the bridge quickly and easily at home.

The VC7SG combines a solid spruce top with maple back, sides, and neck to create a balanced, warm sound that develops with your playing. Carefully selected tonewoods and experienced craftsmanship give the instrument a rich tonal character with the projection needed for solo work and ensemble performances. Whether you're preparing for higher grades or joining an orchestra, the VC7SG provides the responsiveness and depth that support more expressive performances.
An Aubert bridge helps transfer string vibration efficiently through the body, improving resonance and allowing the cello to speak with clarity. D'Addario Helicore strings complement this design with their multi-stranded steel core, offering quick bow response, dependable pitch stability, and a warm, focused tone. Together, these premium components give you a consistent playing experience across a wide range of musical styles and techniques.
Accurate tuning is made simple thanks to durable ebony tuning pegs and the Wittner Ultra tailpiece with four integrated fine tuners. This combination allows for quick, precise adjustments before rehearsals or performances. The ebony fingerboard provides a smooth, hard-wearing playing surface that supports accurate fingering and confident shifting, helping you develop your technique as you progress through more demanding repertoire.
The VC7SG arrives as a complete outfit, making it easy to focus on playing rather than buying accessories separately. A Bulletwood bow and Schwarz rosin provide everything needed to get started immediately, while the original soft case keeps the instrument protected during transport; making trips to school, lessons, rehearsals, and concerts straightforward. With quality accessories included, you'll be ready to play wherever your music takes you.
