Generator Rack
Zebra 3’s Generator Rack gives you a structured yet open environment to build sounds from the ground up. Four main oscillators can shift between custom spline shapes, wavetable-style playback, and detailed additive synthesis, so you can explore different tonal approaches without changing tools. FM oscillators expand this further, allowing flexible routing for more complex modulation paths. You can also combine noise sources, exciters, and resonators to create physical-modelled tones like plucks and struck instruments. With filtering, distortion, and spectral processing available throughout, you’re free to shape and refine every stage of your signal.
Modulation Rack
The Modulation Rack is built to give you detailed control over how your sound moves and responds. Multiple envelopes, LFOs, and multi-stage envelopes offer features like curve shaping, tempo sync, and looping, helping you fine-tune behaviour over time. Dedicated pitch modules manage tuning, glide, and quantisation independently, which is useful when working with layered sounds. You can also reshape modulation signals using mappers or combine them with processing modules, making it easier to create more advanced modulation setups without overcomplicating your workflow.
Effects Rack
The Effects Rack lets you process your sound using a flexible bus system, so you can apply effects across multiple layers while keeping control per voice. Modulation effects such as chorus, flanger, and phaser offer extended depth and variation, while delays and reverbs handle everything from subtle space to more expansive ambience. A granular-style reverb adds extra texture when needed. You can also place compressors, EQs, and distortion within the chain to manage dynamics and refine tone — keeping everything contained within one organised environment.
