Zoom PodTrak P2

Full Description

Compact and easy-to-use podcasting interface

The Zoom PodTrak P2 is designed to simplify podcast recording while maintaining excellent audio quality. With dedicated mic volume knobs and clear level meters, adjusting input levels is straightforward. The two USB mic inputs allow for dual-microphone recording, making it ideal for two-person conversations or interviews.

Two headphone outputs ensure both hosts or guests can monitor audio in real-time. This setup allows for smooth communication and precise control over the final sound. Its small footprint and lightweight design make it easy to transport, so podcasters can record in studios, offices, or remote locations without the need for bulky equipment.

AI Noise Reduction and built-in sound processing

Background noise can be a major distraction in podcasts, but the PodTrak P2’s AI Noise Reduction feature actively learns and removes unwanted sounds. This helps maintain clear audio, even in less-than-ideal recording environments.

Beyond noise reduction, the P2 includes tone shaping and compression to refine vocal recordings. The tone function enhances voice clarity with EQ and de-essing, while the compressor smooths out volume fluctuations. These built-in effects reduce the need for extensive post-production, making it easier to achieve a polished, professional sound right from the device.

Effortless call-in integration and live streaming

Bringing in remote guests is simple with the PodTrak P2. The mix-minus function ensures phone or computer call-ins sound clear and natural by removing echo and feedback. Guests can be connected through the USB port, making the process smooth and eliminating the need for extra hardware or software.

For content creators who stream, the P2 offers live broadcasting capabilities while simultaneously recording to an SD card. This feature is useful for those who want to interact with live audiences while maintaining high-quality recorded audio for later use. Whether producing podcasts, live interviews, or digital events, the P2 provides a streamlined workflow for both real-time and recorded content.

Reliable power options and secure recording

The PodTrak P2 can be powered in multiple ways, ensuring flexibility in any situation. Four AA batteries provide up to 10 hours of recording time, making it a great choice for mobile podcasters. Alternatively, it can be powered via USB for continuous operation, eliminating the risk of running out of battery mid-session.

To protect recordings, the P2 automatically saves files every 10 seconds. This ensures that even in the event of unexpected power loss, recordings remain intact. Users can record up to four tracks in 48kHz/24-bit WAV format, capturing high-resolution audio for easy editing and mixing. With its simple operation, high-quality audio processing, and portable design, the Zoom PodTrak P2 is an excellent choice for podcasters, interviewers, and content creators looking for a professional yet easy-to-use recording solution.
