ESS Sabre conversion technology for high-end audio fidelity
Avant-Garde design company Teenage Engineering brings you the CM-15. A premium pocket-sized condenser microphone, suitable for high quality audio recording. This mic features a large diaphragm gold condenser capsule with a super-cardioid polar pattern, which accurately picks up every nuance of the sound you're recording.
The CM-15 also features a powerful ESS Sabre analog to digital converter that preserves the purity of analog signals in a digital audio configuration, resulting in a clear, bold and natural sound. A USB-C port connects the mic to any digital device you want to record with and acts a charging port for the internal battery that holds up to 10 hours of charge.
Rugged and versatile
Constructed from robust metal components and featuring intricately designed circuitry that efficiently connects a network of high-powered chips and processors, the CM-15 minimises sonic interference and handling noise excellently. On the back of the device is a three-setting gain control that allows you to utilise the microphone for a vast range of recording applications. You could use the high gain to record a quiet acoustic guitar, the medium gain to record vocals, or the low gain to record kick drums and other loud percussion. The CM-15 has a 3.5mm jack that allows you to connect to portable media devices that have Aux inputs, such as smartphones, tablets and handheld recorders. It also features a bespoke three-pin mini XLR connector that functions as an analog output featuring 48v phantom power.
Stylish and lightweight
Take the CM-15 with you anywhere, its compact size, low weight and robust build make it the perfect microphone for travelling with. This makes it ideal for interviewing, podcasting, content creation, and recording music when you're on the move. Included with the CM-15 is a mini XLR to regular XLR cable, and a USB-C cable for connecting it to devices. It even features a discrete integrated stand so that you can angle it towards you on any desk or table, and an additional microphone stand adapter that lets you mount the CM-15 on a microphone stand (NOT INCLUDED). The CM-15 also fits perfectly with existing Teenage Engineering compact studio equipment, and it exhibits the same professional and minimalistic, matte grey aesthetic. If you're a fan of Teenage Engineering designs, you'll love the CM-15 Condenser Mic.
