Product Ref: 347546
The TR-1000 is Roland’s first drum machine in over four decades to include a genuine analog engine. It faithfully recreates 16 original TR-808 and TR-909 circuits using detailed engineering and modern components.
Each sound is delivered with expanded control, letting you shape parameters not available on the original machines. This means you can produce the warm, punchy character of vintage drums but with far more flexibility for modern production needs. The analog layer adds dynamic range and depth, perfect for producers who want tactile, musical feel without losing precision.
Running alongside the analog heart are multiple digital sound engines powered by Roland’s latest DSP technology. The ACB engine offers 21 circuit-bent TR models that go far beyond traditional drum sounds. FM and VA synthesis allow you to create digital percussion and synth-like textures.
On top of that, a massive library of PCM sounds gives you instant access to diverse tones for layering or standalone use. This hybrid setup opens the door to both classic groove creation and experimental sound design in one machine. Each engine can be assigned per track, layered, and processed with individual effects, giving you total control over your sound from the first step to final output.
The onboard sampler in the TR-1000 is tightly integrated into its workflow. You can sample in stereo, resample internally, stretch audio to match BPM, or slice it non-destructively for rearrangement. Over 2500 built-in samples give you a head start, while the generous 64 GB internal storage provides 46 GB for your own custom sounds.
Sample imports are straightforward through USB, and editing is efficient using the TR-1000 App. This makes the unit ideal for hybrid sample-based production, where live recordings, vinyl cuts, or external gear loops can be pulled into your projects on the fly.
The TR-1000's step sequencer brings deep rhythm programming without overcomplication. You can build patterns using classic TR-REC input or real-time recording, then add variation using off-grid timing, motion recording, and direction settings like reverse or pendulum. Individual steps can be set with probability and cycle conditions to keep things moving and unpredictable.
There are four dedicated layer tracks for advanced sound design or split programming. Combined with the Morph slider and snapshot buttons, you can dramatically transform your performance or sequence with a single gesture. These features help turn static loops into living, breathing parts of your arrangement.
The TR-1000 is ready to connect with the rest of your gear. It includes individual audio outputs, stereo mix output, FX send, trigger inputs and outputs, and analog filter CV input. USB-C support makes it a reliable multi-channel audio and MIDI interface, while the USB device port allows for flash drive access, backups, and controller connection.
DIN sync and MIDI I/O keep your vintage and modern gear in sync. Combined with the TR-1000 App, you can control and organise your sounds easily within your computer workflow. With firmware updates and space for future engines, the TR-1000 is designed to stay relevant in evolving studio setups.
Any electrical items in your order may have been designed to work with a 240V circuit, using a United Kingdom G type plug connection or a 220V circuit, using an EU plug connection. An adapter or transformer may be required for these items to work properly and safely in your country. Some items work with a range of voltages, or have a switchable voltage control built in.
