Shape your sound at the source
The Flex-10 puts two high-performance Harrison mic preamps at the front of your recording chain, each paired with an H-Drive transformer circuit. This lets you move between clear, detailed capture and warm transformer saturation, giving you control over the character of a recording before it reaches your software.
Classic high-pass and low-pass filters derived from Harrison's 32 Series consoles provide further tone shaping. You can quickly carve unwanted frequencies from an input or adjust its tonal balance during tracking. Two front-panel Hi-Z instrument inputs also make connecting guitars, basses, and other instrument-level sources quick and straightforward.
Capture every session in detail
32-bit/192kHz converters bring high-resolution digital capture to the Flex-10, combining modern recording specifications with Harrison's analogue-inspired front end. Its 10-in/12-out configuration provides plenty of connectivity for a compact studio, while two line-level inputs accommodate additional equipment and sources.
The interface is class compliant with macOS and works with Windows using the provided ASIO driver, making it suitable for different computer-based recording setups. And with Harrison's analogue circuitry available before conversion, you can choose how much character you want to introduce while still benefiting from detailed digital recording at up to 192kHz.
Connect and expand your studio
Eight channels of ADAT I/O give you a straightforward way to expand your setup as your recording requirements grow. Compatible digital equipment can be incorporated into the Flex-10, making larger sessions easier to accommodate without changing the centre of your studio. Each of the two main channels also includes a balanced insert point for integrating external processors.
Connect a favourite compressor, Harrison 500 Series equipment, or another effects processor directly into your recording chain. MIDI I/O through 3.5mm TRS connections provides another useful connection for synths and drum machines, helping your audio, processing, and MIDI equipment work together in one setup.
Monitor and mix your way
Flexible monitoring helps the Flex-10 adapt to solo recording and collaborative sessions. Two independent monitor outputs include dedicated level controls, giving you direct control over connected monitoring systems. Two high-current headphone outputs also provide connections for you and a collaborator during recording or mixing.
On the front panel, VU meters provide clear visual feedback while reflecting the look of Harrison's classic studio equipment. You also receive a full licence for Harrison Mixbus 12, an analogue console-inspired DAW with Harrison console EQ on every channel. The included Creator Pack adds virtual instruments, software synthesizers, vintage-style keys, guitar amp and pedal modelling, studio plug-ins, loops, and samples.
