Key Features
The Genelec 8341AMM is a three-way coaxial studio monitor designed for professionals who need exceptional imaging, accurate frequency response, and consistent monitoring in a compact format. It combines advanced coaxial driver technology with room-adaptive features to deliver phase-coherent sound across all listening environments.

The Genelec 8341A uses a coaxial three-way design that delivers all sound from a single point in space. This approach improves phase alignment and imaging precision, ensuring you hear every nuance in your mix with clarity. By placing the midrange and tweeter on the same axis, the 8341A provides consistent sound on and off-axis, helping you make decisions that hold up in different listening environments.
Genelec’s Minimum Diffraction Coaxial (MDC) driver further improves performance by eliminating common diffraction issues found in traditional coaxial designs. The result is a smooth, natural response with exceptional detail and tonal accuracy across the frequency spectrum.
Built on Genelec’s Smart Active Monitoring system, the 8341A intelligently adjusts to the acoustic environment using GLM calibration software. With the AutoCal algorithm, the monitor corrects for room-related issues like frequency imbalances, reflections, and delay. This ensures accurate monitoring regardless of room shape or speaker placement.
You can store calibration settings in the speaker or manage them via GLM software, allowing consistent performance across different sessions and studios. The ability to adapt to your workspace makes the 8341A an ideal choice for mobile production, post-production facilities, and control rooms of any size.
The 8341A may be compact, but it delivers full-range sound with impressive low-end extension. This is made possible by Genelec’s Acoustically Concealed Woofer (ACW) system, which places two woofers at the sides of the cabinet. These operate together as a single large source, extending low-frequency directivity and reducing room interaction.
Because the woofers are hidden acoustically, the front of the monitor is left free to act as a large Directivity Control Waveguide (DCW), improving imaging and off-axis response. This design gives the 8341A the low-end authority of a much larger monitor while preserving compact portability.
One of the key strengths of the 8341A is its ability to reduce listening fatigue. By controlling directivity and minimising early reflections, the monitor provides a consistent tonal balance between direct sound and room reflections. This results in a smoother listening experience, even during long sessions.
The controlled dispersion also ensures that multiple listeners hear an accurate mix, making the 8341A suitable for collaborative environments. Off-axis performance is nearly identical to on-axis, preserving stereo imaging and frequency balance across the room.
The 8341A features a die-cast aluminium cabinet with gently rounded edges and a seamless front baffle. This enclosure reduces diffraction and enhances imaging while maximising internal volume for better low-frequency performance. The rigid, acoustically inert structure also provides effective heat dissipation and shielding.
In addition to room correction tools, the 8341A includes Intelligent Signal Sensing (ISS) technology, which puts the speaker into low-power mode when no signal is detected, helping conserve energy. Manual room controls are available on the rear panel for standalone setups without GLM software.
Any electrical items in your order may have been designed to work with a 240V circuit, using a United Kingdom G type plug connection or a 220V circuit, using an EU plug connection. An adapter or transformer may be required for these items to work properly and safely in your country. Some items work with a range of voltages, or have a switchable voltage control built in.
