The H4MIDI WC delivers dependable MIDI communication across every device in your rig. Its 32-bit processor ensures fast data transfer, four times faster than standard interfaces, keeping timing tight and response smooth. The optocoupler input protects signal integrity and reduces risk of data loss when syncing external gear. Every MIDI message is handled accurately, including clock, sysex, MTC and MPE. This keeps both performance setups and studio sessions running in time and fully responsive to control changes or automation.
This interface offers five unique modes for different workflows. Simple Mode connects USB class-compliant MIDI instruments to DIN-based gear without using a computer. Expand Mode allows connection of up to eight USB MIDI devices through an optional hub while maintaining two MIDI ins and outs via DIN. Advanced Mode links the interface to your computer over USB-C, unlocking four virtual MIDI inputs and outputs.
Innovate Mode adds optional Bluetooth MIDI via the WIDI Core, creating wireless splits or merges with 3ms latency. Customise Mode gives full access to routing, filtering and mapping functions through HxMIDI Tools. Each mode is designed to support a wide range of hardware combinations without reconfiguring your whole setup.
The H4MIDI WC is slim, lightweight and designed to fit into tight spaces. It sits neatly on pedalboards or desktops and includes reversible placement for clean cable routing. You can power the unit through a standard USB power bank or use a 9V DC pedal power supply. This makes it easy to integrate into setups where space and power are limited.
Additional TRS MIDI ports (via optional 3.5mm cables) add flexibility for gear using compact MIDI connections. The device also supports four onboard presets which can be switched using a button or MIDI message, allowing fast changes during live sets or rehearsals.
The free HxMIDI Tools app offers deep configuration of your MIDI routing. Use it to split or merge MIDI signals, route messages between devices, and block or allow specific MIDI messages on any channel. You can also remap MIDI data, transforming physical controls into customised commands for your hardware or software.
The software works across Mac, Windows, Android and iOS, and once your setup is saved, you can access it without needing to reconnect to a computer. This gives you a personalised MIDI hub that adapts to changes in your setup with no downtime or menu-diving.
