Avantone CLA200 Power Amp Overview
Old school amplifier design. The Avantone CLA200 Power Amp is a classically designed Class A/B amplifier. The amplifier remains true to a traditional studio style, utilising large VU meters, high quality components and toroidal transformer linear power supply.
When in a standard 2U rack mount chassis, the CLA200 can generate over 200 watts per channel into an 8-ohm load. This is suitable for both medium and large speakers in a studio environment. The CLA200 also benefits from a convection cooled design, which ensures no fan noise can disrupt studio activity. This is beneficial when placing the amp, allowing it to be kept in the same room as the monitors.
The CLA-200 was designed to be paired with Avantone CLA-10 studio monitors, but it can be used with just about any demanding speaker load. Very low distortion, steady performance under harsh conditions, and an open and transparent sound make this an obvious choice for studio applications.
