Ideal For A Range Of Applications
The Aphex 320D is ideal for a range of applications including broadcast, recording, and live sound. It can be used on vocals and instrument to provide you with a consistent level. It can be used during commercials, where you want a level to be consistent, and certain ones may be louder and quieter than others. When you're in a restaurant the Aphex 320D Compellor can be used to provide even background music that isn't constantly jumping between levels, providing a nicer experience for the customers. It is ideal for studio recording, allowing you to keep a consistent level on a vocal or instrument.
Exceedingly Effective At Automatically Controlling Levels
The Aphex 320D is extremely effective at automatically controlling levels. It automatically evens out the varying levels in an audio system without making itself noticed. It does this with its patented technologies that are totally unique. With the Compellor you don't need to manually set the compression settings, meaning that you don't need to reset the settings every time you add in new audio material. Instead the Aphex 320D compressor automatically sets settings for you using the Dynamic Release Computer, which automatically looks ahead and controls the release settings of the compressor based on what's coming in. It will automatically ensure the compression is happening with the most ideal settings for the material going in.
Unique Patented Technologies
The Aphex 320D Compellor includes a range of unique features for automatically controlling levels. One of the important features is the Dynamic Verification Gate. This checks the historic peak averages of the output signal, and when the current level that is outputting from the Compellor is lower than the average that's been going through for the last certain amount of time, it freezes the gain settings of the leveler to make sure that the level stays consistant in loudness, essentially matching the texture of changing audio sources. This makes sure you always have a consistent level of audio.
Frequency Discriminate Leveler Section
The Aphex 320Ds Frequency Discriminate Leveler section, with the Dynamic Verification Gate and the Silence Gate, slowly adjusts the volume level of audio with complex algorithms that enable it to effectively control volume levels. The 320D works differently at different frequencies and stops processing when sound stops, but then starts again once sound reappears. When listening, you know the level are made more even, but you won't perceive that the levels are shifting.
The 320D Compellor has been known to last without needing repairs or calibration. Some have been known to work for 24 hours a day for a decade or longer. The 320D Compeller combines the highest quality components, with unique patented technologies, to bring you optimal performance, with superior longevity.
