Take control with MIDI implementation
The Xone K2 is a versatile DJ MIDI controller that can be used with any DJ software including Ableton, Virtual DJ, Mixx and Traktor Pro. As well as being a MIDI controller, the K2 can also control lights or VJ software that can receive MIDI data making it a useful and functional controller. It has been designed to work with all DAW applications that implement MIDI. The Xone K2's most distinctive feature is customisable layer latching.
The Xone K2 allows you to create a unique layout that is perfect for you. Add in the commands that you need to help you enhance your DJ performances. The Xone K2 features X:LINK allowing you to link up multiple units to expand the control capability with the convenience of using fewer USB ports. Once you have connected up the Xone K2 to your PC/Mac via USB the X:LINK ports will provide a connection without needing to plug in another Xone K2 device into your laptop.
Customisable layer latching
Creating layers and controls on the Xone K2 is completely up to you. The 52 controls including rotary knobs, linear faders and soft-touch buttons allow you to assign what you want to suit you but also provided ready-made maps made by Allen & Heath. The layer system is a superb feature, giving you a wide amount of controls at your fingertips, ready for use in your DJ performances.
The way the latching layers system works is by using 3 different layers that you can assign commands to, so a single control can be given 3 different functions and you can use these by switching layers on the Xone K2. Conveniently the Xone K2 gives you a visual reminder to which layer you are on with different controls illuminating to the appropriate colour. High quality audio interfacing
The Xone K2 supports a high-quality internal, four-channel (2 stereo) 48kHz soundcard providing substantial audio quality. The Xone K2 DJ MIDI Controller provides you with a variety of setup options including using the K2 with a pair of headphones, using 2 with headphones, feeding a pair of headphones and a PA system, connecting to an external DJ mixer and many more. The Xone K2 can be used in a variety of applications so whatever your setup the Xone K2 MIDI Controller can be easily integrated.
The Xone K2 is built to Allen & Heath's renowned touring audio quality and build. The Rotary controllers use steel nuts to protect the circuitry from impact damage and feel solid when twisted providing long term protection and stability. The minimal design is simple yet sleek with a soft plastic outer shell that encases a coated metal faceplate, solid linear faders and rubberised buttons representing professional build quality.
The Xone K2 is sized to match the height of the Xone DB2, DB4 and other pro DJ mixers allowing it to be seamlessly integrated into a DJ setup. It comes with a durable, padded case providing protection on the move as well as doubling as a stand.
