Equinox MoonPar MK2 Overview

The Equinox MoonPar MK2 is a combined lighting effect light designed for DJs, parties and small venues in need of colourful, diverse lighting displays at hand. Mixing a moonflower effect and RGB PAR wash, this allows you to fill your space with moving beams and coloured illumination all from one fixture. It has four 3W LEDs in the middle to produce rotating, multicoloured beams, surrounded by 15 1W tri-colour LEDS to add a wash of red, green and blue.



With a 25° beam angle the MoonPar MKII creates defined lighting effects to bring movement and colour to your setup. Getting started is simple. Choose automatic, sound-active, or built-in programmes using the rear four-button menu and LED display. Or, for a more hands-on approach, DMX modes allow you to integrate the fixture into a wider setup. Additionally, adjustable dimming and strobe effects give you extra ways to tailor the atmosphere to your music.

Two lighting effects in one fixture

Why choose between moving beams or a colourful wash when you can have both? The MoonPar MKII combines two lighting effects in a single unit, helping you create a more varied display without needing separate fixtures. Its moonflower section uses four 3W LEDs in red, green, blue, and amber to project multicoloured beams that rotate and move around your space. Meanwhile, 15 surrounding 1W RGB LEDs provide an additional wash of colour. Together, these effects give you a combination of movement and illumination for adding visual interest to DJ sets, parties, and other music events.

Get your lighting moving with the music

Want your lighting to coincide with what's playing? The MoonPar MKII features a sound-active mode that lets you create music-responsive effects without manually adjusting the fixture throughout your set. Alternatively, automatic operation and built-in programmes provide ready-to-use lighting sequences, making it easy to get a display running. You can switch between these options using the four-button control panel and LED display on the rear of the unit. And if you're using more than one compatible fixture, primary/secondary operation gives you another way to manage your lighting setup.

Take control of every lighting display

For DJs and lighting operators who prefer more hands-on control, the MoonPar MKII offers five selectable DMX channel configurations: 4, 9, 21, 27, and 30 channels. This gives you the flexibility to choose a control arrangement that suits your setup, whether you're keeping things simple or using a more detailed DMX configuration. Three-pin XLR input and output connections allow you to integrate the fixture into a DMX lighting system. You also get 0–100% dimming and a variable strobe effect, letting you adjust brightness and add flashing effects to suit different parts of your set.

Simple setup and convenient operation

The MoonPar MKII keeps everyday operation straightforward, whether you're preparing for a DJ set or setting up lighting for an event. A rear-mounted LED display and four push buttons let you navigate settings and select operating modes directly on the fixture. The IEC power input provides a familiar connection for mains power, while three-pin XLR connections accommodate DMX control. It also comes with an included IR remote for easy, visual control of your fixture. Its convection-cooled design also removes the need for a cooling fan.
