The Marantz Sound Live 12’s compact design makes it perfect for a range of recording applications. The portable size and lightweight construction makes the Sound Live 12 ideal for taking with you on the move. The 12-channel/2-bus mixer gives you more than enough connectivity for any recording project, with the wide range of controls giving you everything you need to manage professional projects. The 60mm faders allow you to precisely input the levels of each channel, with each fader equipped with a mute switch for added convenience. XLR and 1/4’’ inputs are included so you can record both vocals and instruments alike, perfect for capturing everything from acoustic guitars and pianos to live vocal performances. A headphone output is also included for direct monitoring, complete with independent level control.
The Marantz Sound Live 12 features 7 XLR inputs in total, all equipped with the custom Marantz Professional Mic Preamps, designed to deliver ultra-clean sound perfect for studio recording. These specially designed mic pre’s are developed to offer the best possible audio fidelity when it comes to recording vocals, delivering studio-grade recordings for a range of applications. Dynamic Compression is available on channels 1 to 4 as well as a 9-band EQ for the main and monitor outputs. This added control allows you to sculpt and mould your sound before it goes to post-processing, allowing you to make live changes on the fly.
100 studio-grade digital effects are built-in to the Sound Live 12 mixer, allowing you to add effects to your inputs for enhanced control. The studio-grade effects range from delays and reverbs to compression and chorus effects. The wide range of built-in effects allow you to add a new dynamic to your recordings. For example adding reverb to vocal performances produces extra depth, or you can add the chorus effect to a guitar for a change in sound. In addition, the Sound Live 12 features a USB jack to power lamps or charge mobile devices, as well as connecting the mixer to your computer.
