The SQ6+ introduces four dedicated RackUltra FX engines, bringing advanced processing tools inspired by Allen & Heath’s flagship systems into a more compact format. Premium reverbs, vocal tuning, harmonisers, saturation, distortion, and pitch processing are all available directly within the mixer, reducing the need for external hardware or plugins. Alongside this, eight RackExtra FX engines allow you to run multiple delays, reverbs, and modulation effects simultaneously. Dedicated stereo sends and returns keep routing flexible and organised, helping engineers manage larger productions more efficiently. Whether you're mixing live bands, theatre productions, streamed events, or spoken-word applications, the expanded FX platform gives you far more processing flexibility.
Designed for faster hands-on mixing
The SQ6+ combines a larger 9-inch capacitive touchscreen with an updated dark interface for improved visibility and faster operation in darker venues. Drag-and-drop channel assignment and customisable layouts help streamline setup, while Chromatic metering provides clear visual level feedback across every strip. The SQ6+ also adds 16 assignable SoftKeys and four SoftRotaries, giving you quicker access to routing, scene changes, monitor sends, and processing adjustments during demanding productions. Twenty-five motorised faders provide more physical control for larger shows, helping engineers work confidently across front-of-house, monitors, broadcast mixes, and installed AV systems.
Expanded mixing for installs and broadcast
The SQ6+ is designed to handle increasingly complex production environments. Six mono or linkable matrix mixes provide flexible routing for livestreams, broadcast feeds, multi-room audio, delay systems, and zone-based installations. Advanced automatic mic mixing also strengthens its capabilities for speech-focused applications. Two independent 24-channel AMMs can operate simultaneously, or combine into a single 48-channel AMM for larger conferences, education spaces, council chambers, and panel discussions. Combined with detailed channel processing and low-latency operation, the SQ6+ adapts easily between live sound, conferencing, installed AV, and hybrid broadcast workflows.
Scalable connectivity for modern audio systems
The SQ6+ is built to integrate into larger professional systems thanks to its Intelligent SLink connectivity and flexible expansion options. The 128x128 SLink port connects directly to Allen & Heath stage boxes, personal monitoring systems, and compatible consoles, allowing systems to scale as production requirements grow. An onboard expansion slot supports Dante, Waves, MADI, and additional SLink cards for integration into advanced networked audio setups. USB recording and playback are also designed for hybrid workflows, supporting multitrack capture directly to USB drives or through the built-in 32x32 USB audio interface for recording, streaming, and virtual soundcheck applications.

The Allen & Heath SQ+ range supports a variety of expansion cards, helping you tailor your mixer for recording, broadcast, installed audio, and larger digital audio networks. You can add Dante integration, additional stagebox connectivity, Waves processing, or MADI support depending on your setup requirements.
Each card installs directly into the SQ+ option slot, making it straightforward to adapt your mixer for different live, studio, broadcast, and installed audio environments.
