Two sound engines work in tandem inside the MODX8 Plus: AWM2 for realistic instrument samples, and FM-X for deep frequency modulation synthesis. The FM-X engine now delivers 128-note polyphony—doubling its capability—making it easier to build rich, evolving textures without sacrificing notes. This opens creative possibilities for genres from cinematic scoring to modern electronic music.

Hands-on control for performance and programming

Four faders, four encoders, and the Super Knob allow you to tweak key parameters live. The Super Knob can link up to 128 functions, letting you make broad sound changes with a single control.
