The MODX6 Plus features Yamaha’s dual-engine setup: AWM2 for sample-based acoustic and synth voices, and FM-X for frequency modulation synthesis. The updated FM-X engine now supports 128-note polyphony—twice the original—making it possible to craft rich, evolving textures, whether you’re building warm pads or percussive basslines. Both engines can be layered and modulated in real time, giving sound designers and live performers enormous scope to develop unique tones.

Intuitive performance and control tools

This keyboard makes on-the-fly control simple with four faders, four encoders, and the Super Knob, which can manipulate up to 128 parameters at once. Whether you're tweaking EQ, triggering effects, or morphing between layers during a live set, the tactile interface supports creative spontaneity. The seamless sound switching (SSS) feature allows you to move between layered sounds mid-performance without audio cut-offs, crucial for live musicians managing multiple parts in a single set.

Designed to slot into your studio or stage setup, the MODX6 Plus includes a 2-in/10-out USB audio interface with dedicated USB volume control. It also offers two A/D inputs, making it easy to record or route external sources. The included Cubase AI software gives you all the tools needed to start recording straight away.
