The CP88 uses Yamaha’s Natural Wood Graded Hammer action, offering a traditional weighted response across all 88 keys. The lower keys feel heavier while the upper keys feel lighter, just like a concert grand. It’s ideal for pianists who need familiar touch and response when performing complex pieces or dynamic live sets. The action is springless and features high-resolution sensors to register even the subtlest changes in pressure, enabling a highly expressive performance.

Built for real-world performance environments

This stage piano is designed to handle whatever gig or session you throw at it. It includes both standard 6.3 mm jack and balanced XLR outputs for flexible connection options, whether you're heading straight into a mixer, interface or PA. Two jack inputs let you plug in a second keyboard or phone audio source. There are also MIDI and USB terminals, a dedicated headphone output, and jacks for sustain pedals and foot controllers. The setup is quick, clean, and professional.

Whether you’re playing solo, backing a singer, or performing synth-driven sets, the CP88 has sounds that are easy to layer, split, and shape in real-time.

Quick control with no menu diving

The layout of the CP88 is designed with the player in mind. Each sound category—acoustic piano, electric piano and sub—has its own controls, making it fast to shape or combine sounds. Physical sliders allow easy adjustment of the 3-band master EQ, effects, and volume, while the backlit LCD helps you see everything clearly even on dark stages. Seamless Sound Switching makes transitions feel smooth and polished when switching between live sets mid-performance.
