Build immersive layered tones
The LIVEN Ambient Ø uses four tone layers, each with its own character. Drone, Pad and Atmos layers provide tonal foundations, while the Noise layer introduces environmental sounds or custom samples. The note hold function makes it easy to sustain tones while adjusting filters, modulation and level controls. This layered approach creates evolving textures that can be shaped in real time, providing a flexible way to craft atmospheric backdrops or cinematic sound design.
Powerful Blendwave Modulation Synthesis
The heart of the LIVEN Ambient Ø is its Blendwave Modulation Synthesis engine. It features six synthesis structures and 32 WAVEs, each with 128 harmonic tables. You can move smoothly between harmonic states, creating tones that feel alive and constantly shifting. The Atmos layer adds ring and FM modulation options, giving additional depth and complexity. With four main knobs linked to eight parameters, sound creation is immediate and intuitive. This design allows both quick experimentation and precise sculpting of sounds, making it ideal for both performance and composition.
Noise layer with sampling and modulation
The Noise layer blends natural recordings, filtered noise and custom user samples. You can import up to eight seconds of stereo audio using the line input and shape it with filters, pitch modulation and LFOs. This layer is perfect for adding subtle textures, field recordings or percussive noise patterns that complement the tonal layers. It also features eight built-in nature sounds for quick access to organic ambience. By combining tonal and noise layers, you can create dynamic soundscapes that evolve with every adjustment.
Effects and advanced sequencing
The effects section offers nine reverb types with shimmer, giving expansive spatial depth. Additional effects such as tape delay, reverse delay, stereo chorus, overdrive and bit crush add more creative possibilities. Each of the four layers has a 64-step sequencer with real-time recording, step input and note overwrite during playback. Probability settings and random sequence playback create natural variation, while Parameter Lock records knob movements per step for dynamic sound evolution. With 64 preset sound pattern palettes and 32 new additions in version 1.5, there are plenty of starting points for your own creations.
Portable and performance-ready
The LIVEN Ambient Ø supports microtonal tuning across seven systems, including Pythagorean tuning and pure intonation, as well as standard equal temperament. It also includes Relaxation Playback Mode, allowing you to arrange patterns with repeats and fade-outs for continuous playback. Built-in speaker and battery operation make it easy to create music anywhere, from studio setups to outdoor environments. MIDI and sync connections ensure seamless integration with other instruments, while the lightweight build encourages creativity on the move.
