Propel your creativity
The classic sound of the original Prophet 5 wasn't achieved via just its filters and oscillators. The on-board Poly Mod played a large part too. Eager not to leave anything out, this is also present in the Prophet 5 Module. Just like its predecessor, the synthesizer offers modulation sources in the form of oscillator B and a filter envelope. Some of the destinations included in the Prophet 5 Module are Oscillator A frequency and pulse width, as well as a low-pass filter.
A new addition to the synthesizer is the inclusion of Unison mode, this boasts an adjustable voice count, allowing you to choose between one to ten voices. Take this further with the ability to detune and glide. Despite its simplicity, the Prophet 5 Module is able to achieve a whole host of sounds that will propel your productions and performances forward into sonic uncharted territory.
Perfect imperfect
During research and design, detailed research was made into recreating its desirable, organic tone. Sequential realised that much of the Prophet's appeal was based on the subtle fluctuations and different response times between each VCO, filter, envelope, and amplifier. Take this one step further by adjusting the all-new vintage knob. This allows you to dial in the "perfect" amount of "imperfection".
A modern take on an old favourite
Although Sequential's mission statement was to create a synthesizer that was as accurate, detailed, and faithful to the original, they simply couldn't help themselves! Because of this, the Prophet 5 Module features a handful of contemporary developments to take your expression when performing above and beyond. Use the all-new velocity sensitivity and aftertouch to have greater control over filter sweeps, LFOs, and amplitude changes.
Easy to program
Not only does the Prophet 5 Module look and sound great. It's incredibly easy to play and program. The inclusion of the front panel grants you access to immediate sound-shaping possibilities. Should you desire, toggle off the preset button to establish live-panel mode. This allows the Prophet 5 Module to perform based on where the knobs are currently positioned. The unpredictability of this mode is sure to yield fun and exciting results!
The inclusion of 200 factory presets and an additional 200 user-defined programmes allow you to achieve great sounds straight out of the box. What's more, the Prophet 5 Module includes the original 40 presets from the first Prophet released in 1978. These are the very same presets that have found their way onto may iconic albums and soundtracks. All of which are now available at your finger tips.
