Since 1940, Karimoku has been Japans largest wood furniture maker, producing intricate designs with environmentally friendly methods. The Roland Kiyola KF-10 is a smart, artisan inspired piano with an all wooden structure. Each KF-10 features a different grain pattern, and the wood will age naturally for a truly individual instrument. Although minimalistic in its design, the KF-10 has seen strict attention to detail from some of the finest craftsmen. Its no wonder that the Kiyola KF-10 received the prestigious Good Design Award.
SuperNATURAL Piano technology powers the onboard grand piano sounds, delivering a world-class playing experience. The KF-10 reacts realistically with your touch for a responsive and dynamic performance. Roland have worked hard to take the sound beyond sample-only pianos, having developed a combined sampling and modelling system. This takes the sound to new levels of realism, recreating the complex reactions and interactions between strings, soundboard and cabinet that you would expect from an acoustic piano.
The Kiyola features Roland's PHA-50 progressive hammer action keyboard. This combines the hassle-free durability of a plastic core with the traditional, organic look and feel of wooden sides along with ebony and ivory feel key tops. Each key features a stabilising pin, individual weighting, as well as escapement for a playing feel which is truly reminiscent of a quality acoustic piano.
For the complete control of your sound, Roland has equipped the KF-10 with a full three pedal system. The damper and soft pedals are capable of continuous detection. The sostenuto and soft pedals are capable of assignable functions for a more personalised experience that takes advantage of the digital pianos range of editable parameters. The pedals are housed in a complementary artisan pedal box which connects to your KF-10. This provides both digital and acoustic piano musicians with an instantly recognisable feel and practical usage.
Roland have preserved the design-led minimalist appearance of the KF-10 by porting some of the more in-depth controls over to a free app accessible through your smart device. The Piano Partner 2 app connects wirelessly to your piano via Bluetooth and gives you access to a host of features including digital sheet music, practise tools and rhythmic accompaniments. You can also connect to the intuitive Piano Designer app which makes it easy for you to personalise the KF-10s tone and response to suit your taste. Parameters such as hammer noise, cabinet resonance and even the character of each individual note can be edited to your specific requirements.
Bluetooth audio connectivity allows you to stream your favourite music through the pianos powerful high-quality speakers and play along, putting the KF-10 right at the heart of your musical family.
Roland firmly believes that comfortable playing isnt just about your hands. The Kiyola KF-10 features a specially designed stool that perfectly matches your piano and supports you while playing. The ergonomic design has an arched shape that assists your posture and a high-density foam cushion for comfort. This means that you can play for hours on your KF-10 in complete comfort.
Roland recognises that choosing one of their digital pianos would be considered a long-term investment. They're so confident in the build quality and materials they use, that they offer a 10 year warranty with all of their DP, GP, HP, KF and LX series instruments. This gives 10 years peace of mind, allowing you to relax, concentrate on playing and developing your skills.
