Key Features
The Befaco Morphader CV Controlled 4-Channel Crossfader is the ultimate solution for easy and in-depth crossfading in your modular Eurorack. A perfect tool for the performing musician, the Morphader features four CV controlled crossfaders, each with their own individual control to fade between CV and audio signals seamlessly. The normalized voltages allow for some interesting and unique morphing capabilities to add texture and dynamic to your music.

The Befaco Morphader is based on four pairs of signals. Each pair has two inputs that will morph from each other into its designed crossfade output. Both pairs of inputs are controlled by the main crossfade control or its own CV input. All outputs are summed into the fourth output, allowing for complex signals to be created through morphing. You can make fades between a signal and fixed voltage if only one of the inputs is connected, to create a transition from a moving parameter to a fixed value and vice versa, allowing for some unique and fresh morphing possibilities.
The Morphader features three modes to manipulate and control your signals. In CV/Audio mode, each of the crossfaders can work either for CV or Audio signals for a huge array of flexibility. This can be selected independently for each mode with the switch located between the attenuators. When in CV mode, the transition between the signals is made linear in order to preserve the shape of the original signals for a clean and transparent fade. In Audio mode, the module makes the fade between the signals exponential, designed to maintain equal power of the signals during the transition. This allows for fades that do not jump suddenly in volume, giving a better performance for your audience.
This slider controls the crossfade of all the channels at once. Except for crossfade channel 1, it won't have any effect if a CV signal is present at the channel's CV Input. The crossfade can be slewed via Fader Lag control, expanding the time to reach from A to B up to 15s. Pay attention that when Fader Lag is applied the transition will follow an exponential shape when fading from A to B and logarithmic when coming back from B to A which can affect slightly the time perception of the transition depending of the type of signals present on the crossfade.
