The stunning CPX600 Electro Acoustic features a spruce top and a nato body, creating a beautifully traditional appearance and delivering a superb tone. The spruce tonewood is a common choice for guitar tops, offering a classic crisp, versatile tone suitable for a wide range of playing styles. Its powerfully direct sound retains its clarity when strummed hard, making it the ideal choice for players at any level. The nato back and sides provide a tone similar to mahogany, offering a beautifully dynamic soundscape with a clear top-end and a warm character. The addition of a rosewood fingerboard provides the CPX Acoustic with extra layers of depth and warmth, providing a sparkling high-end with an open midrange punch.
SRT Pickup and SYSTEM65 Preamp
The Yamaha CPX is fitted with their SRT piezo pickup, which is designed to use the individual elements of each string to provide an incredible performance. Its clean and ultra-wide bandwidth signal offers an incredible dynamic response, offering captivating sounds with exception tonal accuracy. This pickup is combined with the SYSTEM65 preamp, with a 3-band EQ, mid FQ, volume control, and inbuilt tuner to provide excellent tone shaping capabilities.
The CPX Series
Yamaha’s CPX Series provides players with an incredibly powerful tone and performance, featuring a medium-jumbo body with a cutaway design to offer excellent reach to the higher frets. Its large body shape provides the acoustic guitar with an open, modern tone, with a powerfully rich low-end, a smooth and delicate high-end, as well as a sweet, open midsection. The CPX soundhole creates a focused midrange and a controlled bass, while the non-scalloped X-type bracing provides a strong, rich acoustic tone which retains its clarity and definition of stage.
