Additionally, Lutz spruce delivers a broad dynamic range whilst being a sonically-powerful and beautifully rich soundboard.

Accompanying the solid top are solid Tasmanian blackwood back and sides, which produce a unique and sonically-pleasing tone. Furthermore, Tasmanian blackwood's tone closely resembles koa or mahogany within the mid-range, whilst its top-end shimmers beautifully. Bringing you the rich, deep tone found in rosewood instruments. And with its extra two strings, the sonic possibilities are endless. This special design features an innovative behind-the-saddle construction that picks-up the Taylor's natural dynamic properties, and delivers them beautifully. The Expression System 2 features three pickup sensors. The location of these sensors enable more acoustic dynamics to be captured. Resulting in an exceptional amplified tone and a superior response to each nuance of your individual style. This Expression System 2 combined with Taylor's 'professional audio' preamp allows you to simply plug-in to an amplifier, PA system or directly into recording software. This system faithfully captures the 316ce's naturally stunning dynamic range.

Explore the Baritone's three soft-touch rotary controls for adjusting bass, treble, and volume. This allows you to accurately shape your amplified tone seamlessly. Experiment with your amplified tone and find your preferred settings that suit your individual style. Rotate controls back and forth to find a small bump. This indicates the middle position of the control, meaning the control is turned off. The centre point on the volume control indicates half of the highest amount of volume.
