The most important element of an amp simulation pedal is how realistic it sounds and feels, and the V550 delivers this in spades. Its dual-channel architecture allows you to crank up the gain for both classic and modern metal tones or some aggressive hard rock. Alternatively, you can focus on a single channel and achieve shimmering cleans. Individual volume, EQ, and gain controls allow you to stack amplification stages your way, as well as a master presence control to get the tone and feel of the real deal on your pedalboard..

An extra boost

The V550's built-in boost circuitry adds not only an extra 5 dB of gain, but a distinctive mid-boost that accurately represents the sound and feel of stacking an overdrive pedal either before or after your amp, with a switchable pre or post-position.

Official cabinet simulation

To add that final touch of polish, this preamp pedal comes with an official Celestion cabinet simulator, emulating the classically massive 4 x 12 cabinets the amp that inspired this pedal always came with. This recreates the tone of Celestion's G12M Greenback speakers, used in some of the more classic large 4 x 12 cabs, for even more authenticity. Its individual DI output makes it easy to run directly into PA systems when playing live, or audio interfaces when recording at home.
