Key Features
The TC Electronic JIMS 45 is a preamp pedal that authentically recreates the tone of a classic British tube amp from the 1960s. Offering two independent channels with their own gain, volume, and EQ controls to represent the experience of using a jumper cable on the amp to stack them, this amp excels at classic blues, rock, and old-school metal tones. Perfect for home recording, practice, and live performances, this pedal gives you realistic amp tone and feel right on your pedalboard.
The JIMS 45 also offers a switchable 5 dB of pre or post-amp boost, adding more gain to your tone to drive the amp harder for heavier music, boosting mids like using an overdrive pedal would. Its DI output features an official Celestion cabinet simulation, emulating a 4 x 12 cabinet loaded with their G12M Creamback speakers for authentically vintage sound, great for gigging directly into a PA system or running into an audio interface for recording. The additional headphone output ensures that this preamp pedal can be used for noiseless practice sessions.

The most important element of an amp simulation pedal is how realistic it sounds and feels, and the JIMS 45 delivers this in spades. Its dual-channel architecture allows you to crank up the gain for some classic metal and rock tones heard throughout the decades, or you can focus on a single channel and achieve some lightly driven vintage blues tones right from the 60s. Individual volume, EQ, and gain controls allow you to stack amplification stages your way, as well as a master presence control to get the tone and feel of the real deal on your pedalboard.
The JIM 45's built-in boost circuitry adds not only an extra 5 dB of gain, but a distinctive mid-boost that accurately represents the sound and feel of stacking an overdrive pedal either before or after your amp, with a switchable pre or post position.
To add that final touch of polish, this preamp pedal comes with an official Celestion cabinet simulator, emulating the classically massive 4 x 12 cabinets the amp that inspired this pedal always came with. This recreates the tone of Celestion's G12M Creamback speakers, usually used in cabinets throughout the 60s and 70s, for even more authenticity. Its individual DI output makes it easy to run directly into PA systems when playing live, or audio interfaces when recording at home.
