If you want a world-class valve amp in a portable format, the SYN-20IR delivers. Synergy's modular system allows you to choose the perfect preamp for your needs, and this bundle includes both the head and the preamp module of your choice. It's a fantastic way to build the amp you've always wanted.

Three channels of all-tube flexibility

The SYN-20IR combines a vintage-voiced clean channel with the two channels of any installed Synergy module, effectively creating a three-channel boutique amp. From shimmering cleans and edge-of-breakup tones to saturated modern distortion, the modular system offers a huge tonal range. With a growing library of modules based on iconic circuits, the head can instantly become a Diezel VH4, Friedman BE, Soldano SLO, Morgan AC, Tone King Imperial and many more.

Next-level power-amp feel

Selectable Structure modes reconfigure the power-amp behaviour to suit each channel, from balanced and punchy (Mode A) to vintage sparkle (Mode B) or tight, modern low-end clarity (Mode C). The Reactance control works hand-in-hand with Structure to fine-tune presence, mids and attack. Paired with Fryette’s Sag control, the SYN-20IR responds with the nuance, bloom and push-pull dynamics of a full-sized valve amp, even at low volume or when running direct.

Industry-leading IR performance

The onboard IR engine uses a dedicated 500 MHz ARM DSP to deliver cabinet simulations with virtually zero latency. Four IR slots are available from the front panel and are fully assignable per channel, while users can manage the included 13 IRs and load their own through the Synergy Editor software. This makes the SYN-20IR a complete recording solution without the need for microphones or external processors.

MIDI control and pro-grade connectivity

With full MIDI implementation and the included 3-button programmable footswitch, the SYN-20IR can store and recall up to 128 presets combining channels, IRs and Structure modes. The head also features an ultra-transparent series FX loop, cab-less operation, XLR DI with ground lift, headphone output and multiple speaker outs. Its universal-voltage design ensures reliable performance anywhere in the world.
