Sterling Kaizen, Stealth Black Overview
The Sterling Kaizen in Stealth Black is a forward-thinking guitar designed in collaboration with Tosin Abasi, founder of Animals as Leaders - the first time his unmistakeable signature model has been available on the Sterling brand. With its angular, contoured body made from lightweight nyatoh and a smooth roasted maple neck, it offers both striking looks and comfortable ergonomics. The 25.5" scale length and 24 frets give you a familiar playing feel with extended range, while the rosewood fingerboard keeps things sleek under the fingers. Finished in a bold satin with a colour-matched headstock, it's built to stand out.
Powered by two uncovered ceramic humbuckers, the Kaizen serves up a modern, aggressive tone that's tight, articulate, and packed with midrange punch. A floating tremolo bridge pairs with Steinberger gearless tuners for precise pitch control and rock-solid tuning stability, making dive bombs and subtle vibrato a breeze. With thoughtful details like dual-action truss rod and 5-bolt neck attachment, this guitar blends cutting-edge design with reliable performance, ready for players pushing their sound into new territory.

Full Description
View Full DescriptionModern ergonomic design
The Sterling Kaizen is built with a forward-thinking shape that prioritises both comfort and striking looks. Its contoured nyatoh body is lightweight, making it easy to play long sets without shoulder fatigue. The instantly recognisable angular design creates a bold aesthetic and offers excellent balance balance when playing. Finished in Stealth Black with a matching headstock, the Kaizen delivers unique stage presence and great playability.
Smooth roasted maple neck
A roasted maple neck paired with a rosewood fingerboard gives the Kaizen a slick playing surface that feels fast and reliable. The 25.5" scale length, 15.75" radius, and 24 frets make it perfect for technical runs, big bends, and extended chord voicings. The neck's dual-action truss rod and 5-bolt attachment provide solid stability and easy adjustment, meaning you can push your playing. It's an instrument that feels built to keep up with demanding players.
Powerful ceramic pickups
Loaded with two uncovered ceramic humbuckers, the Kaizen has a punchy and aggressive voice that cuts through any mix. The bridge pickup delivers searing leads and tight rhythm tones, while the neck pickup adds warmth and body without losing clarity. With a 3-way toggle selector and straightforward volume and tone controls, the sound can be dialled in quickly for anything from prog-inspired leads to heavy riffing. It's a no-nonsense setup designed for players who want direct access to outstanding tones.
Reliable hardware and tremolo
The Kaizen comes equipped with Steinberger gearless tuners, offering exceptional tuning accuracy with smooth, precise adjustments. Their lightweight design reduces headstock weight, improving balance across the guitar. Combined with the modern floating tremolo bridge, the result is effortless pitch manipulation that stays in tune, whether you're adding subtle vibrato or diving into extreme tremolo effects. Finished with Ernie Ball Regular Slinky strings straight from the factory, this guitar is stage-ready right out of the box.
