With Merrow's own signature pickup on the bridge, you'll be able to access the passive attack sounds that he familiarised himself with over his career. A combination of multiple voicings, this pickup can offer both a classic and powerful low-mid grunt when run through a distorted setting, as well as an airier and cleaner tone. If you're looking for something that responds to the way you play, you've found it.
Towards the neck, there is the Sustainiac pickup, and as you can probably guess by the name, it gives you a whole lot of one thing. Sustain. By creating electromagnetic energy around the strings when enabled, it causes them to vibrate and creates glorious feedback sustain that can last as long as you can hold it. Pretty cool, right?
Absolute control over your sound can be achieved with ease thanks to the 3-way pickup selector. You can also keep that aggressive Sustainiac at bay (or unleash it in all its fury) with both a 2-way on/off kill switch and a 3-way Sustainiac mode selector switch - giving you the ability to slice right through the mix on stage.
