A sensational spruce top is showcased with a stunning gloss finish. Spruce offers a whole host of sonic attributes that beg the creativity of modern guitarists. Its versatile, balanced tone encompasses a broad dynamic range and astounding articulation, meaning you can play with any technique or style and still deliver exceptional clarity. Team this with the warmth and resonance of mahogany back and sides, and you have richness and resonance in abundance. Delve into beautiful, warm mids or soar to clear, singing highs. The choice is all yours.
The R121SNWH boasts a marvellous mahogany neck which not only looks exquisite, but it is also superbly comfortable to play thanks to its sleek, slim profile. Better still, mahogany produces an excellent tone to suit any kind of playing. Every note will be sure to sparkle, carried by waves of resonance. And layered on top is a wondrous walnut fretboard. Walnut has been relied on for years because of its stunning sound and ever-growing tonal possibilities. Not only is it a smooth and sublime tonewood to fret upon, but it also ages in gorgeous fashion. Its tone is bright and crystal-clear and will gradually become warmer and softer as the wood matures. Whether you're in the studio or on stage, walnut produces every single note beautifully.
The innovative 12 hole bridge featured on the Ortega R121SNWH is usually reserved for instruments at higher price points. This fantastic system makes string changes both quick and easy, even for total beginners. By simply looping the string around the two holes provided for each string, you can trap the end of the string in a noose, help in place by the string tension. This solves the challenging problem of tying knots in nylon strings without ball ends.
