The North Street Edition series pays tribute to the iconic Martin guitars crafted during the company’s celebrated pre-war Golden Era at the original North Street factory in Nazareth. Rather than creating exact replicas, Martin’s Custom Shop combines historically inspired construction methods and visual details with modern reliability and comfort. The D-28 Herringbone captures the essence of those legendary instruments through traditional appointments such as herringbone top inlay, light ageing toner, and vintage-style aesthetics. Every detail is designed to evoke the appearance and sound of a classic pre-war Martin while remaining perfectly suited to modern players and professional performance environments.

The combination of Adirondack spruce and East Indian rosewood gives the D-28 Herringbone its unmistakably rich and balanced tonal character.
