The DSL20CR comes equipped with high and low power settings, meaning you are able to achieve a lower volume level with no reduction in valve tone. Marshall has optimised the power mode to reshape at the lower setting rather than the traditional amplifier design of removing a valve from the signal at lower power settings. Thanks to this, you will be able to truly optimise your sound for home practice whilst maintaining the valve saturation and compression. The amplifier drives a 12” Celestion Seventy-80 speaker for a wider frequency response and great protection on stage.
Legendary sounds
Equipped with two channels, each with independent level and gain controls, the DSL20CR allows you to set each channel to the perfect saturation and seamlessly switch between them using a footswitch. In the same package, you get crystal clean sound, vintage tones, and full saturation for the heaviest music and the smoothest of solos. This provides you with the versatility to cover a wide range of musical styles.
The channels both share a three-band EQ, alongside independent presence, and resonance control to perfectly match your guitars tonality and room ambience. A reverb circuit is also included to allow access to a sympathetic ambient sound for your tone.
Softube emulation
Marshall have paired with software developers Softube in order to create the DSL range. It comes incorporate with classic Softube emulation technology. Thanks to this, you can directly connect to the amplifier and send out sound of a professionally mic’d 1960 Marshall cabinet. Its signal can be used to send your tone directly to a mixing desk for a no-fuss and consistently great sound.
