Two channels and six modes

Two fully independent channels give the IRF60-112 the flexibility to cover a broad range of sounds while maintaining its analogue signal path. Channel 1 provides three different gain and clipping modes. ASYM introduces asymmetric clipping for warm, organic breakup reminiscent of a pushed vintage amplifier, while Clean prioritises pristine headroom and extended dynamics for clear sounds or use as a pedal platform. SYM applies symmetric clipping for a more even harmonic saturation with plenty of presence in a band mix. Together, these modes let you move naturally between clean, driven, and more saturated sounds without relying on digital modelling.

Shape a second distinct voice

Channel 2 approaches tone shaping differently, providing Bright, Natural, and Dark voicings that let you quickly alter the amplifier's overall character. Bright opens up the upper frequencies and adds presence, making it particularly effective for lead sounds and single-coil guitars. Natural provides a balanced response for a broad range of playing styles, while Dark rolls back the highs to create a warmer, rounder character that complements humbuckers and smoother chord voicings. A shared three-band passive tone stack provides Bass, Middle, and Treble adjustment with per-channel settings, while the footswitchable Pre-Boost gives you another way to add extra drive and impact when required.

LA·IR direct recording

Laney's LA·IR technology turns the IRF60-112 into a capable direct-recording amplifier as well as a conventional combo. Integrated into the XLR direct output, the system lets you use cabinet impulse responses to create the sound of a miked speaker cabinet without requiring a separate IR loader. You can load your own impulse responses or choose from Laney's library, giving you scope to tailor the direct sound to your recording or live setup. This makes it easy to send a cabinet-shaped signal straight to a DAW, mixing desk, or other compatible equipment while retaining the responsive analogue character at the heart of the amplifier.

Modern connectivity and control

The IRF60-112 backs up its analogue signal path with connectivity designed for contemporary practice, recording, and performance setups. USB-C audio I/O provides convenient integration with recording equipment, while USB connectivity enables app control and preset management. Watts Control lets you reduce output when 60W of power isn't necessary, helping the combo adapt to quieter playing environments. A headphone output provides an option for silent practice or recording, and an auxiliary input makes it easy to play along with backing tracks. Onboard reverb and a series effects loop complete the setup, while the illuminated Ironheart logo gives the combo a distinctive finishing touch.
