The GA-2 is equipped with both Guitar mode or Bass mode for truly easy operation with automatic pitch detection. The guitar mode supports 7-string guitars (7B through 1E), while the bass mode supports 6-string basses (Low-B, Hi-C). A high-sensitivity microphone is built-in, for easy and accurate tuning of acoustic guitars, allowing you to tune by ear using the Sound Out Mode.

Clear Display Screen

For quick and precise intonation, the GA-2 features a needle-style meter that displays the pitch quickly and accurately, along with the note name and string. The GA-2 also features red and green LEDs which indicate the pitch discrepancy for a smoother tuning, and ideal for performances with poor lighting.

Compact Design

The GA-2 features a compact body profile, that can fit inside any instrument case. This credit-card sized unit is perfectly rounded, accommodating any hand shape and offering comfortable usability. A new mechanism allows the battery compartment to be easily removed for quick and easy replacement. The battery cover simply slides over the entire body, eliminating the risk misplacing.

Quinta Flat Tuning Mode

Unlike other tuners from Korg, the GA-2 features a Quinta Flat Tuning mode which supports lowered tunings used in heavy metal styles, giving more weight to the sound. The GA-2 offers five steps of flatted tuning with up to five semitones below standard pitch, and supports super-long scale guitars that are five frets longer than standard guitars. In addition, the GA-2 also features an adjustable calibration value of 430–450 Hz for added versatility.

Battery Life

As well as offering quick and precise tuning, the GA-2 tuner also features a high-efficiency long-life design, offering up to 100 hours of continuous operation when used with two AAA zinc-carbon batteries, or approximately 200 hours on alkaline batteries.
